I am tired of dressing like a Smurf.

It’s like a ghost town on the Island with school vacation week. Many families have checked in from Disney World, warmer climates, and some hardy souls from skiing in New England. Open and free bowling remains in place at Barn, Bowl, and Bistro until the end of vacation. Remember our library programs and the Food for Fines collection still going on.

After a long and cold and boring winter I see sure signs of spring. Lil’Bit is buried near some of my annual snowdrops which erupted two weeks ago.

The markets were full of shoppers buying food as if it was the day before Thanksgiving.

I suppose the holiday season goes on all year.

Hard rain’s gonna fall. Sure did, Bob Dylan, most specifically on our Five Corners last weekend, claiming a victim compact car that had to be towed.

The third annual women’s march will take place Saturday, Jan. 19. Buses are going from the Cape to Boston, from Boston to Washington, and we shall have our own here starting from Five Corners. I truly hope this is the last one we shall ever have to schedule. Get the scoundrels out. The future is female.
